Dr. Kathleen Richards was born and raised in the Western New York area. She attended Niagara University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med Biology. She was also a two sport NCAA athlete playing shortstop and track. She then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine associated with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she received her medical degree as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to begin private practice.She first began practice on the west side of town, in which she thrived for seven years. She joined Advanced Podiatry in 2000 and still continues today. She enjoys her patients and treats them all as family.
Dr. Richards is also a mentor for surrounding medical schools, in which she teaches students in the out-patient surgical setting. She is associated with HonorHealth Deer Valley, Abrazo Central and Abrazo Scottsdale Hospitals. Dr. Richards is a member of many professional organizations which include, the American Podiatric Medical Association, Arizona Foot and Ankle Medical Association, American Sports Medicine Association and is a life member of the American Association of Women Podiatrists.
